He is prior to join at KDC as a CEO, he was working as the Group CEO at J&Z Group, from Dec' 2017 to November 2022, responsible for the operation of Hotel Kollol, Cox's Bazar, 5 Restaurants in Dhaka City, Catering operation of BATB, ICDDR, B, SUMSUNG, BUFT, NSU and others concerns.
- Earlier, he was associated with Best Holdings Ltd. as a Company Secretary and Owner Representative, Chief Coordinator and Overall, in Charge for the five-star hotel "Le Meridien Dhaka" (in operation) & "Le Meridien Resort & Spa, Bhaluka" (under construction), Oct' 10-Oct' 17. Served Pan Pacific Sonargaon, Dhaka for a very long tenure from Aug' 96 till Sep' 10 and rose to strategic positions with experience acquired in spearheading operations, finance, procurement and service support functions. During Dec' 09-Sep' 10 as a Front Office Manager/Director Rooms (SCOM Level), he was accountable for ensuring smooth operation of the Rooms Division (Front Office & Housekeeping Dept.), He served as Director of Finance (In charge) & Purchase Manager (SCOM Level), Nov' 05-Nov' 09 at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka and was accountable for leading strategic financial activities and overall handling of the functions of procurement for realizing cost advantages. Earlier, he worked as a Manager Purchase & Cost Control (HOD Level), ensured smooth operations by implementing cost control initiatives, setting the processes and operational framework in place, stores management, streamlining the F&B functions and coordination with Finance department during Jun' 03-Nov' 05. Further, served Pan Pacific as a Front Office Manager (HOD Level), Jan' 00-May 03, worked as Assistant Front Office Manager (Jan' 99-Dec' 99) and commenced his career with Pan Pacific as an Executive Housekeeper (HOD Level), Aug' 96 -Dec' 98. Prior to Pan Pacific, he worked for 14 years in Kuwait with prestigious organizations in various capacities. He was associated with Kuwait University, Kuwait as an Executive Housekeeper & Head of Facilities (HOD Level), Jun' 93-Jun' 96; was associated with Kuwait Sheraton Hotel, Kuwait as a Senior Housekeeper, Oct' 91-May' 93 and commenced his career with Le Meridien Hotel Kuwait from Apr' 80-Dec' 85 as an Asst. Executive Housekeeper.
- Shaikh Rahman has been pivotal in establishing the operations and brought out standardization in the processes & procedures by providing directional leadership and implementing effective operational strategies. Drove excellence in management of the entire Property and achieved continuous improvement in client service delivery by establishing robust systems and processes, implementing best practices and procedures. He has remained stellar in generating cost advantages by translating strategies into actionable results and controlled costs through responsible negotiation and finalization of contracts. Spearheaded design and deployment of new processes, realigning teams, improving operational efficiencies by building business capabilities, effective resource utilization, cost tracking and budgeting. Productively and profitably managed large teams and skillfully implemented review mechanisms for monitoring internal operations and identifying gaps in the performance of team members. Academically, he is an Arts Graduate from University of Rajshahi; completed his Graduation in Hotel Management under Le Meridien-French Management from Kuwait and various international courses on food safety and operations from domestic and aboard.
